What is OMSA all about?
A Brisbane Art School, unlike any other, that guides, motivates, encourages and helps promote each individual artist.
Monday 10am - 3pm
St. Augustine's Hall,
Racecourse Road, Hamilton, Brisbane.
Painting Classes with a Difference.
FOR THE LOVE OF ART
I started this unique and alternative art school to help everyday people to find their natural talent.
We all loved to paint and draw as a child, we were observant and had our own perceptions and impressions of the world around us.
Then we grew up.
OMSA Artists are encouraged to try new methods, explore their own creativity, delve into the reasoning behind their painting and understand why they paint!
A chance to learn to be creative and make mistakes with someone there to show you which ones to keep.
‘Genius Begins When Rules End’ (Sir Joshua Reynolds 1788)
Many artists reach a stage in their development where they've lost their sense of direction. They may wish to change the medium they paint in or the subject matter. They might want to exhibit but haven't the confidence to create the opportunity.
They might be at that stage where they don't know what to do next - a form of artistic writer's block! This is where OMSA can play a part.
At OMSA artists can rediscover their direction and potential whilst acquiring the motivation to achieve all of this. OMSA is not just an art school, rather an artistic way of life. Motivation and Promotion.
A lot of artists from amateurs to professional attend OMSA to re-gain direction with their painting. We prefer that you don't have preconceived ideas about how you should be painting but allow us to find your natural talent and develop it.
You're welcome to bring along any paints and a canvas, have a cup of coffee, meet some of the artists and find out for yourself what OMSA is all about.
